Last round of Jetboats for 2017

October 18, 2017  •  Leave a Comment

The 28th and 29th of this month sees another years AFJSA Jetsprint racing come to an end. The final round will be held at the Northern NSW Cabarita track. I'm hoping the weather will be great and we get a bumper crowd to finish off the 2017 season.

I have the 20" x 24" framed print ready to put the photos in, here's a photo of the basic layout.

Another fantastic event hosted by the MG Car Club of Qld, fine weather, track in great shape and some very quick times over the weekend.

I have photos on my web site here and video of most of the entrants is available to view on my YouTube channel here .

I am offering the usual deal of all your (2400 x 1800 pixel) photos for $50 able to be downloaded from my website and for those entrants that had a video done I will include that in the $50.

Here are a few photos from the event, I love that Triumph GT6 of Roy Davis, sweet car.

CAMS Club Challenge 2017 Mt Cotton

April 06, 2017  •  Leave a Comment

The CAMS Club Challenge at Mt Cotton was held last weekend in surprisingly good weather and track conditions. Cyclone Debbie had dumped record levels of rain and some decent winds over S.E Qld on the Wednesday and Thursday before, after smacking the entire Qld coast pretty much from south of Townsville, so it was a nice surprise to see the track in such great shape. Thanks to all the MG Car Club and Mt Cotton hillclimb volunteers.

The event saw 13 teams entered in the hillclimb and it was great to see so many different cars compete.

The photos from the event are up on my web site at this link

I also did video of one run for all competitors (hopefully I didn't miss anyone). It was Run 3 for most and Run 4 for a couple of the 1st competitors. The video can be found at my Youtube Channel here. I still have to name a couple of the videos but I will get that finished soon hopefully.

I will be offering my usual deal, $50 for all your photos (2400 x 1800 pixels) from the event for download and will include the video of your car with the photos. Offer valid until the end of April. Contact me if you wish to take me up on the offer.

I was playing with slow shutter speeds again and have attached a few photos from the day.

Mt Cotton Hillclimb Series 2017 Round 2

March 19, 2017  •  Leave a Comment

I was able to get to both days of competition for this event but the weather gods played a part in reducing the time spent at the track. Both days were supposed to be wet but Saturday held off all day luckily. It poured all night Saturday night and was a bit wet and drizzly on Sunday morning early. At 8:30 am when racing started we had the sun poking it’s head through the clouds and we were good to go. Unfortunately our luck didn’t last and about half an hour into the first run the drizzle came back, just as we were getting a dry line too, and the drizzle quickly became rain, then heavy rain and then torrential rain. There were a couple of attempts to get cars running again only to be met with more rain so at about 11 am I called it quits and came home to process photos from Saturday and half a run on Sunday. Me and my gear soaked through, good fun shooting in the rain though !

I have finished sorting the photos and have uploaded them to my web site at this link

There is also some video of most of the entrants from the 2nd run on Saturday at my Youtube channel here

I have attached a couple of photos from the weekend with last two showing how wet it was.
